TOGA MEETING, SEPT 8 IN ONEIDA The Tennessee Oil & Gas Association Board of Directors will meet on Friday, September 8th, 2006 at Amelia's in Oneida. President Wagoner will announce the scheduling for the event in the August newsletter.
2007 CONVENTION BEING PLANNED FOR NASHVILLE-TOGA President Lynn Wagoner and convention co-chairman Bob Nelson are meeting with downtown Nashville hotel officials later this month to secure a May 2007 date for the convention. Wagoner and Nelson are considering a three day convention that will include exhibits, as several companies have indicated an interest in displaying at the annual meeting. If any member has any comments, suggestions or ideas about the convention, contact Lynn Wagoner at 800-278-6164.
JOIN TOGA AT NAPE, HOUSTON, AUGUST 23rd -24th -TOGA will have a booth at NAPE in Houston, August 23rd through 24th. The North American Prospect Expo is hosted by the American Association of Professional Landmen, the Independent Petroleum Association of America, the Society of Exploration Geophysicists and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. NAPE has become a must-attend event for exploration and production buyers and sellers. All TOGA members are welcome to participate or to provide material to be distributed on a cost sharing basis. Call the TOGA office for more information at 615-371-6137.
TOGA DIRECTORY NEEDS REVISION-We were rushing to get the first TOGA membership directory out to members before the convention. We didn't make our deadline and rushing it to print without double checking for errors showed. For example, I, Bill Goodwin, was listed as President. I am no longer president. Lynn Wagoner, CEO, Signature Oil Corp., has been elected President. And Goodwin was misspelled as Goodman. And there were other mistakes. I thought we could save money by letting an oilfield-located printer do the job but I forgot that they had graduation to deal with, so it was late and full of mistakes. Hopefully, some member will volunteer to head a Directory Committee and we can put a corrected issue out early next year.
