WATCH FOR DETOUR ON WAY TO CONVENTION- Just in time
for the TOGA Convention in Knoxville, a section of Interstate
40 has been closed for repairs. Getting to the convention
hotel may require a detour or two. There will be signs to
help get around the construction and specific driving instructions
will be posted soon on the TOGA website at www.tennoil.com.
EXHIBITORS GALOR AT TOGA CONVENTION-As this newsletter
goes to press a week before convention, more than 30 exhibitors

TOGA DEVELOPS DRILLING REGS-After the Walden Resources
well blew out in Anderson County, state regulators and more
than 30 Tennessee operators and drilling contractors met with
Paul Schmierbach, Division of Water Pollution Control, and
members of his staff, to review the circumstances that led
up to the blow out and to make plans for new regs and operating
proceeds to guard against future blow outs. President Elect
Scott Gilbert, Vinland Energy has chaired a committee of several
TOGA members, including Doug Clark, John Bonar, Bill Goodwin,
Gene Lockyear, Kent Wright, Deloy Miller, Mike Branstetter,
Bill Ray, Jim Washburn and representatives of service companies.
Early next week Gilbert will present a draft of the committee's
proposed regs to Schmierbach for consideration. For more information,
contact Gilbert at Vinland Energy in Oak Ridge, 865-220-8457.
