WAGONER ELECTED PRESIDENT - Lynn Wagoner, founder and CEO of Signature Oil Corp., was elected President of the Tennessee Oil & Gas Association, at the organizations 35th annual meeting in Nashville, May 4th-5th. Bob Munsey, Universal Well Services, was elected vice president and Anne Byrd, was re-elected Treasurer. Anne, Scott Gilbert, Ariana Energy, Mark Liming, Liming Operating and Bob Nelson, AC Insurance, were all re-elected to the board of directors.
OUT-GOING PRESIDENT GOODWIN RECEIVES AWARD - Bill Goodwin, who has served as the TOGA president for the past six years, was given the organization's Distinguished Service award. Anne Byrd presented the award, regaling the audience with a somewhat fictionalized versions of Goodwin's career in the Tennessee oil patch.
AUCTION GENERATES $16,000 FOR TOGA - Thanks to the generosity of donors and bidders alike, as well as the showmanship of auctioneer Tommy Burnett, TOGA's lobbyist, the convention auction generated more than $16,000 in much needed funds for the association. Miller Petroleum was the high bidder for the Downhole Hammer donated by Noland Company Drilling Equipment, as well as a 1500 gallon acid job by Universal Well Service, 25% off a logging job by Norris Well Services, a Calloway driver by Ariana Energy and lunch with lobbyist Tommy Burnett at the Capital Grill in Nashville. Other donated items included: Tickets to a UT game by New River Energy, Site Coordinator Tuition by Target Market Development; Two rounds of golf by Somerset Refinery; News Release by TMD energy; 6 ¼ hammer bit by J.D.'s Bits; Sky Caddy by Griffith Service Company; UT football tickets by Acordia Insurance; Two drums of Chemicals by Aqua Clear; Used Pump Jack by Miller Petroleum; Pipe wrenches by McJunkin Appalachian; GPS device by Knox Energy; Lunch by Young Oil and $500 by North American Resources.
ARIANA TEAM WINS GOLF OUTING AGAIN - The Ariana Energy LLC golf team, consisting of Scott Gilbert, Mike Nami, Gil Draper and Jason Looney, won the Ariana Energy-McJunkin Appalachian sponsored golf outing again. In response to good-natured grumbling by the other 24 golfers, convention officials are considering new rules for the 2007 event. Bill Goodwin and Deloy Miller participated in the golf outing, as promised, but failed to finish.
SITE COORDINATOR TRAILING PLANNED - Three individuals have indicated to Mike Burton, Oil & Gas Board, of their interest in taking site coordinator trailing. If one or more individual indicates an interest in taking the course, it will be scheduled in late May or early June, according to instructor Chuck Murchison. If interested, call Chuck at the TOGA office at 615-371-6137 and leave a message.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY OPPORTUNITY - I would like to correspond with anyone who might be interested in drilling in Cumberland County. My phone number is 703-465-2068. I would like to hear via email if that is easier. Edie eg@cslink.net
ROBERTSON COUNTY OPPORTUNITY - I spoke to someone in your office several years ago about drilling for oil in Robertson County, Tn.. Can you connect me with a driller who might be interested? It would be a wildcat but a show of oil was found there in the 40's (about 3 miles away) and lots of gas in the Barren Plains community. I am also interested in buying some royalty interest. Any connection would be appreciated. Kenneth Wayne Head, 2011 Richard Jones Road Q10, Nashville, TN. 615-383-1305.
