Here are the directions: THE BIG WELLS JUST KEEP COMING - MILLER, NEW RIVER, CHAMP HIT- Tengasco started us off hitting big wells in Hancock County, now it is spreading across the state. First, New River Energy hit a big oil and gas well at about 4,200 feet near Petros in Morgan County. The well is shut in awaiting a completion rig. Miller Petroleum is having big time success in Campbell County. Recently they announced that the Lindsey Land Company #12, completed in the Big Line at 3,704 to 3,719 feet, tested at 2.7 million cubic feet a day. Miller also announced it had completed two oil wells in its Koppers South field. The Tennessee Mining, Inc. #26B had 22 feet of pay and an IP of 58 BOD. The #27B had 24 feet of pay in the Big Lime and an IP of 70 BOD. Then in late October Champ Oil Co deepened a well they had drilled in June and it came in flowing out of the Knox group. It was reported that some 600 barrels of oil was sold out of the well in the first few days. The well is located in McCreary County, just across the Tennessee state line. TENGASCO RANKS 144th, MILLER PETROLEUM 175th- The Oil & Gas Journal recently announced the top 200 publicly-owned oil companies in the United States. Knoxville-based Tengasco moved up from 155th last year to 144th. Miller Petroleum, Inc., Huntsville, moved up to 175th from 177th last year. Daugherty Petroleum, Lexington, KY, now ranks 152nd, up from 156th last year. And Blue Ridge Energy, Inc., Bowling Green, is 192nd this year, down from 182nd last year. SWAN CREEK FIELD:ISOLATED SUCCESS OR TIP OF THE ICEBURG?-Dr. Robert Hatcher, University of Tennessee, answers that question in an article in the October 1st issue of the Oil & Gas Journal. He says,” Even cursory examination of the state geologic map of Tennessee reveals numerous structures-like and unlike Swan Creek-that could be productive.” 1500

Neither the operator nor the well name was reported by TWRA. In response to the burn, Mike Burton says that now when an operator wants to put a flare on a well, proof of the TWRA permit will be required. NAPE EXPO 2002, JANUARY 30th-The NAPE Expo is scheduled for January 30th in Houston. Sponsored by the AAPL & IPAA, it brings oil and gas property/prospects buyers and sellers together. TOGA had great exposure at a smaller prospect expo in Houston earlier this year and may have a booth at NAPE. Several operators have already committed to participate in a TOGA booth.
