BALON TO HOST TOGA AT DELOY MILLER’S JUNE 21-New member company, Balon Valves will host a free steak fry at Deloy Miller’s home near Oneida on Thursday, June 21st. This will be our June board meeting. The festivities will get underway with a reception at 6:30 p.m.(EST), followed by a brief business meeting and dinner.  Hosts David A. Breaux, Regional Manager, Eastern Region and Jimmy Pickering, Regional Manager, Southeastern Region, for Balon are inviting all TOGA members, employees and families and others in the oil business.  We need to know how many steaks to cook, so call Teresa at Miller Petroleum to let her know you are coming at 423-663-9457. Deloy lives in Ponderosa Estates.  You turn right off of 127 North at the Miller cement company (orange building). Go across tracks, when you come to an intersection, turn right. Deloy’s house is first one on right. There will be signs to guide you.

30th ANNUAL MEETING, ROARING SUCCESS-Nearly 100 TOGA members and guests (93 to be exact) participated in the 29th annual convention in Knoxville, May 9-10.  Sponsors that made the convention a success included: Gore-Sorber Exploration Surveys, A.C. Insurance, Inc., Aqua-Clear, Inc., McJunkin Appalachian, B&H Supply, BJ Services, Inc., Bill Ray, Citizens Gas Utility District, Anne Byrd, Penn Virginia Oil & Gas Corp., Seal Tite Lining Systems, C. H. Fenstermaker & Associates, Cressel Thompson, EMATS, Inc., Pryor Oil Co., ETC, Inc., Halliburton Services, Mark Liming, Miller Petroleum, Norris Well Service, Ohio Kentucky Oil Corp., Pegasus Energy Resources Corp., R.F. Energy, Rusty Liming, South Kentucky Purchasing Co., Target Oil & Gas Corp., Team Energy Services, Tengasco, Inc., Goldenrod Oil & Gas, Young Oil Corp, St. Joseph Petroleum, Columbia Natural Resources.

GOODWIN, BYRD RE-ELECTED Bill Goodwin was re-elected president and was also elected as a member of the board of directors.  Mark Liming was re-elected vice president and Ann Byrd was re-elected treasurer.  Bill Ray, Deloy Miller and Willard Glover were re-elected to the board.  Dieter Hein was elected to fill a one year term.

PRODUCING PROPERTY EXPO-TOGA has a booth at the Producing Properties Expo in Houston, August 7-8.  If you have a property or prospect, this is the place to get it out to buyers.  Sponsors who pay $100 each will be able feature their properties.  Signed up are Bill Ray, Miller Petroleum, TMD Energy, Bob Beaver, B&H Supply and Young Oil Corp. Call Bill Goodwin for details.  We need a few more.  Don’t wait for buyers to come to Tennessee.  Oil and gas prices are higher then they have been in years.  If you have a deal to sell, this is the place to sell it.

WELL SIGNS FOR SALE-The law requires a sign at every well and tank battery.  TOGA now has signs available at a price of 2 for $5 plus postage for members and $5 each for non-members.  State inspectors will be checking wells over the next few weeks.  Signs must have the name of the well, permit number, operator, emergency phone number as well as information about the oil and gas board.  The TOGA signs are on sale at B&H Supply, Bill Ray’s office and the TOGA office.

ANYONE SEE OUR SIGN-Speaking of signs, the “There Really Is Oil In Tennessee” sign displayed at the 30th annual convention disappeared after the convention.  If you know where it is, let us know.  We need it to use it in Houston at the Expo.

SPILL SEMINAR SLATED FOR SEPTEMBER-TOGA will host an oil spill seminar for all drilling and production crews that may have to deal with an oil spill, either in drilling or later during production.  The seminar is tentative scheduled for September.  More details next month.
